In order to promote gender diversity in an organization, both women and men need to participate in the process. In what ways men can effectively take part in an organizational setting to bring a positive change? Do men need to overcome their own stereotypical gender roles?

Before the course starts, write a few lines here about a topic you would like to be addressed during the course.
gender-neutral language or gender-inclusive language – For or against?
For some time there has been a discussion on the use of gender-neutral language or gender-inclusive language, I would like to know the opinion of participants in the course because, for some, this type of language violates the grammatical rules and does not bring anything of significance, whereas for others, is the expression of a need to name what language does not name, with the idea that language is a reflection of society, a society that is not egalitarian.

I think that a theme to discuss could be the vocabuary, beacuse when I have to write something about the gender issue I don’t know if it is better to use the term “equality” or “inequality”. In my 3 years studying of Psychology I understood how important are words, because they can really change the people response.
Another topic could be “When starts gender inequality?”, because in my opinion we should change the way we see men and women since the very beginning, with new generations. We are in 2018 and we are making some progress, but there are still many stereotypes which are emphasized by social media.
Gender Equality or Gender Inequality? Eleonora Bortolamei
I am really interested on the implications that may result from the use of the expression “Gender Equality” rather than “Gender Inequality”. Which one is better to use when we discuss about the gender gap in any field (politics, media industry, professional roles in general..) ?
Actually, I think that the question is more complex than it seems and, even if there’s not only one correct answer, we can discuss about in which situations we should better use the one or the other term. Sometimes, differences between men and women have to be protected in order to protect the role of women in many job positions or other practical aspects in social life; in other cases, women have the right to achieve gender equality and gain equal opportunities.
